Vilka farkoster ses i kriget mellan Ryssland - Georgien (2008)
walshe replied to UAV's topic in Krig och Konflikter Idag
Plattorna är Kontakt-5 ERA (reactive armour ) The Kontakt-5 EDZ is the explosive reactive armour (ERA) currently installed on Russian MBTs. It is often referred to as 2nd generation, heavy-duty, or integral ERA. Where the conventional ERAs are only capable of defeating shaped-charge jets, Kontakt-5 can also defeat APFSDS rounds. Because of Kontakt-5, long-rod penetrators can lose over 30% of their penetration potential and the protected vehicle becomes immune to them. This type of ERA can be easily recognized as it gives the vehicle outfitted with it a distinct 'clam-shell' appearance. It is believed that while protected by Kontakt-5 ERA, Russian MBTs (T-80) cannot be penetrated across the frontal arc by the M256 guns firing M829A1 APFSDS ammo. In addition, thanks to their heavier (15 mm hard steel) front plate, the Kontakt-5 elements are harder to trigger by the precursor charges of tandem warheads, forcing the producers of tandem ATGMs to allocate more mass to precursor charge and, making an MBT more resistant to tandem HEAT warheads, as well. The second section from the right is spent. Notice lack of damage to the Kontakt-5 outer shell It is very important to note that while light ERA containers are completely destroyed in the process of detonation, Kontakt-5 sections are not, as their detonation is contained by the outside armor plates. Therefore even after detonation Kontakt-5 sections continue to provide some applique protection. lite mer fakta om dom ryska förbanden: Russian order of battle (detta är enligt internet så detta kan vara och är troligt viss en stor del rysk maskirovka inblandat) North Caucasus Military District 58th Army Units of 19th Motor-Rifle Division (acting in South Osetia) 429th Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72, MT-LB, BM-22 Uragan?) 503rd Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72, BTR-80) 693rd Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72, BMP-2, 2S3 Akatsiya?) 292nd SP Artillery Regiment; (2S19 Msta-S, BM-21 Grad) 481st Anti-aircraft Missiles Regiment; (SA-8 / SA-11 GADFLY) 141st Separate Tank Regiment; (T80/72) Units of 42th Motor-Rifle Division 70th Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72?, BMP-1/2, BTR, 2S3 Akatsiya?) 71st Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72?, BMP, BTR, 2S3 Akatsiya?) 72nd Motor Rifle Regiment; (T-72?, BMP, BTR, 2S3 Akatsiya?) 392nd Tank Regiment; (T-72?, BMP, BTR, 2S3 Akatsiya?) 50th Guards Training Artillery Regiment; (2S19 Msta-S) 1203rd Anti-aircraft Missile Regiment; (SA-8 / SA-11 GADFLY) One company of Special Battalion Vostok of GRU (acting in South Osetia) One company of Special Battalion Zapad of GRU(acting in South Osetia) Units of 131st Separate Motor-Rifle Krasnodar Red Banner(formerly used for peacekeeping, now acting in Abkhasia) (T-72, BMP-1/2, BTR-70, MT-LB, D-30, BM-22 Uragan) 526 Separate Motor Rifle Battalion - Military Unit No.03768, 527 Sep MR Bn - Military Unit No.03769, 529 Sep MR Bn (омсб) - Military Unit No.03841, 558 Sep MR Bn - Military Unit No.03833, 9 Separate Tank Battalion - Military Unit No.03842 other smaller support units Attack, bomber and reconnaissance aircrafts of 4th Air Army(acting over South Osetia, Abkhasia and Georgia) Leningrad Military District Units of 76th Airborne Division (Pskov) (acting in South Osetia) (BMD-1/2, BTR, 2S9 Nona-S) Moscow Military District Units of 98th Airborne Division (Ivanovo (acting in South Osetia) (BMD-1/2, BTR, 2S9 Nona-S) Spetsnaz of 45th Detached Reconnaissance Regiment of VDV (Moscow)(acting in South Osetia) -
Jämför mot denna lista på den gamla goda tiden, Endast förband inom LENINGRAD MILITARY DISTRICT NORTHWEST TVD och BALTIC MILITARY DISTRICT - WESTERN TVD Warsaw Pact Order of Battle June 1989 LENINGRAD MILITARY DISTRICT - NORTHWEST TVD (Soviet Forces available against NATO- primarily AFNORTH and AFSOUTH) Note 3: The Air Forces included in the Military District OOB's are available for deployment.
