Det blir nog en storslagen begravning, om inte hans familj uttryckt andra önskemål..
Bummer.. Men ingen lever för evigt
Hats off. :(

Mycket sorgligt, hatten av för Ronaldus Maximus. :(
Han klarade sig igenom ett skottdrama, två andra större operationer och tio år med alzheimers. Starkt jobbat i hans ålder.

Några citat:
"We who live in free market societies believe that growth, prosperity and ultimately human fulfillment, are created from the bottom up, not the government down. Only when the human spirit is allowed to invent and create, only when individuals are given a personal stake in deciding economic policies and benefiting from their success -- only then can societies remain economically alive, dynamic, progressive, and free. Trust the people. This is the one irrefutable lesson of the entire postwar period contradicting the notion that rigid government controls are essential to economic development."
- Ronald Reagan, September 29, 1981
"Let us beware that while they [Soviet rulers] preach the supremacy of the state, declare its omnipotence over individual man, and predict its eventual domination over all the peoples of the earth, they are the focus of evil in the modern world.... I urge you to beware the temptation ... to ignore the facts of history and the aggressive impulses of any evil empire, to simply call the arms race a giant misunderstanding and thereby remove yourself from the struggle between right and wrong, good and evil."
- Ronald Reagan, March 8, 1983
"My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
- President Ronald Reagan during a microphone check on August 11 1984, unaware that he was being broadcast

"Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"
- Ronald Reagan speech at Brandenburger Tor near the Berlin Wall, 1987
"Information is the oxygen of the modern age. It seeps through the walls topped by barbed wire, it wafts across the electrified borders... The Goliath of totalitarianism will be brought down by the David of the microchip."
- Ronald Reagan, June 1989
"I will leave with the greatest love for this country of ours, and eternal optimism for its future. I now begin the journey that will lead me into the sunset of my life. I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead. Thank you my friends. May God always bless you. Sincerely, Ronald Reagan."
Ronald Reagan's last words to the country he served and loved were written in November 1994. In the letter, announcing he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease...

Om begravning med mera:
QUOTE
Reagan's body was expected to be taken to his presidential library and museum in Simi Valley, Calif., and then flown to Washington to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. His funeral was expected to be at the National Cathedral, an event likely to draw world leaders. The body was to be returned to California for a sunset burial at his library.
